Our Story
Who we are
Sounds of Tomorrow is a creative development organization founded by Dwayne Seaton. Based in Somerset, New Jersey, we connect youth and adults with hands-on arts education, supportive mentorship, workforce preparation, and professional media production.
Our mission is to help people build confidence, develop their talents, and create pathways from learning to meaningful work and community contribution.
The Sounds of Tomorrow Academy
Creating Opportunities for Talented Individuals Across the World
Our programs turn creative interests into practical experience. Participants can explore music, artist development, podcasting, film, photography, design, and performance while building communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Our Somerset facility provides recording, podcast, and film production resources. We work with schools, care management organizations, workforce partners, and community groups to connect participants with suitable opportunities.
Partners include Somerset Community Action Program, Franklin Township schools and youth programs, Tri-County CMO, Essex County CMO, Ideal Institute of Technology, and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Program availability and eligibility depend on the partnership and service.

Creative Education
Hands-on workshops help participants develop their craft through guided practice in music, podcasting, film, photography, design, and performance.
Youth Mentorship
Structured, trauma-informed support for ages 7–21 builds emotional awareness, life skills, confidence, and vocational readiness in partnership with families and referring agencies.
Workforce Development
Creative projects and partner-supported placements help participants practice professional skills, gain production experience, and build portfolios for future opportunities.
Sounds of Tomorrow Productions
Our professional production arm creates video, photography, podcasts, recordings, and digital content for artists, businesses, and community organizations.
Community & Creative Connections
School partnerships, community events, showcases, and SOT Connect help people share their work, build relationships, and discover their next creative step.
